The Great IQ Squatch Off

The IQ crew sometimes runs a little wild when picking out shop samples and our takes on the new Legendary pattern from Elizabeth Hartman is a perfect example. Both Leslie and Mary decided to have a go at making the floor pillow size from the pattern with dramatically different looks.

First up is Prairie-squatch, Leslie’s version, which uses the new Little House on the Prairie calicos from Andover Fabrics:

Leslie used different florals for the tree, Sasquatch and binding but the best touch may be her fussy cutting of the background. Yes, she positioned little Laura Ingalls running from Sasquatch!

Not to be outdone, Mary decided to go with a holiday version of Legendary: Santa-squatch:

She used a Timeless Treasures white-on-white print of snowflakes for the background and created a Santa hat from a scrap of red fabric and some white fleece, which is appliqued to the head of her yeti (you know, the snowy cousin of Sasquatch. After quilting it, she added red beads and an angel pin to the Christmas tree:

Which version is your favorite? Don’t forget you can stop by IQ and see both versions in person!
