There’s just something special about a woven fabric. The color-play of the threads, the distinct patterning, the gorgeous hand — they 300x300_loominous2jpg-1all come together in a way no screen-printed fabric can truly duplicate. Anna Maria Horner’s latest with Freespirit Fabrics, Loominous II, is all of this and more. We’ve been plotting nonstop since we ordered it earlier this year and those plans have gone into overdrive since we unboxed the bolts this week. And now’s your chance to show off your Loominous II projects!

Join our Loominous II Challenge and make a piece of clothing, a bag or quilt with fabric from the line you purchase at Intown Quilters. You’re entered when you buy one yard of Loominous II from us (can be multiple pieces of fabric totaling one yard). Challenge entries are due at IQ Sunday, 12/4. We think the fabric would look great turned into a Scout Tee, Dress no. 1 or 2, or a Willow Tank/Dress (or think outside the box and make a cute pair of lounge pants, like Pants no. 1!) but it would work just as well with a variety of bag patterns (think travel bag or purse) or even a quilt (maybe mixed with the new Kaffe Artisan wovens and prints)!
